Max Scherzer (5-6) suffered the loss, allowing five runs -- three earned -- on six hits and a walk, adding five strikeouts in his six-inning start for Arizona, which had almost as many errors (three) as hits (four).

The D-Backs have now lost eight of their last nine.

Stewart's two-out homer made it 1-0 in the second inning, and the Rockies added a pair of runs in both the fifth and sixth frames to pull away.

Iannetta singled to open the fifth and came around to score on a two-out double by Dexter Fowler, who hustled home on Gerardo Parra's throwing error.

Parra had a chance to redeem himself with a bases-loaded opportunity in the sixth but grounded into a fielder's choice to end the threat.

Tulowitzki doubled in Todd Helton in the bottom half and made it 5-0 by scoring on Iannetta's sacrifice fly later in the frame.

Game Notes

The game was delayed 22 minutes for rain...Colorado, which kicked off a 10- game homestand has won six straight at Coors Field.,,The Rockies lead the season series 4-3. The D-Backs went 15-3 against the Rockies last season, including a 7-2 mark in Denver.
